Dr. Marvin Lopez, PGY-2

Congratulations to Marvin Lopez, M.D., PGY-2 residents at the UM Regional Campus, for his first place finish in the ACP Associates Clinical Vignette Poster Competition March 1-2 in Orlando. His case of a Fever of Unknown Origin Secondary to Systemic Bartonellosis received top honors at the meeting.

Also congratulations to Tulisa LaRocca, M.D., PGY-3 Resident, for her third place finish in the oral case presentation category discussing A Curious Case of Presumptive Positive Phencyclidine(PCP).

Congratulations to Kandace Kichler, PG2, who won first place in the Commission on Cancer Physician-in-Training Cancer Research Paper Competition at the Florida Chapter of the ACS meeting in May in Weston, Fl. She gave an oral presentation on her research entitled "Pathology Reporting in Melanoma: Developing a Reporting Standard to Better Guide Treatment."
