The Regional Campus Internal Medicine Residency Program is pleased to announce the approval of six preliminary intern positions for the upcoming academic year. This will bring the program´s intern complement to a total of 28.
The program requested the additional positions after receiving a full five-year accreditation from the ACGME in September. The team of Vanitha Vasudevan PG3 and Danon Garrido PG2 won the annual "Sunshine State Surgical Resident Trivia Contest" during the May meeting of the Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Our team defeated 8 other teams from surgical residencies throughout the state of Florida. This is a remarkable achievement considering all of the other teams had PG5 contestants. The winning question involved the various levels of lymph nodes in the neck. The 2011 winners came from the University of South Florida. |
