Thank you for your interest in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
Regional Campus Internal Medicine Residency Program. Our program
is designed to provide comprehensive training in the specialty of Internal
Medicine while allowing each resident the flexibility to tailor the experience
to his or her individual career goals. The resources and expertise of one of the
nation's premier medical schools are behind this innovative program set in two
state-of-the-art health care facilities, the JFK Medical Center and the West
Palm Beach VA Medical Center.
The curriculum is designed to provide hands on patient care experiences in
general medicine and all the subspecialties under the guidance of highly skilled
specialists and educators. Our curriculum recognizes that learners have
different needs and we pride ourselves on meeting them through resident input,
as well as individualizing the experience based on a resident's interests and
career path. Elective experiences allow residents to hone their skills in
medical subspecialties as well as areas such as hospital administration,
end-of-life and home care, and research. All this is offered within the friendly
environment of West Palm Beach Florida.
Excellent patient care, scholarship, and humanism are the outcome measures we
value most. Success in these three areas will lead to success in any chosen
medical career whether that is in primary care, hospital medicine, subspecialty
training, research or a more nontraditional career path. The University of Miami
Miller School of Medicine Regional Campus Internal Medicine
Residency Program can help you meet your goals. We are very proud of our program
and I invite you to take a closer look.
