PGY1 Marcus Eby

Our program is excited to announce the recent acquisition of a Simbionix LAP Mentor. The simulator features 13 training modules and over 65 tasks and cases, including general surgery, bariatric surgery, and colon and rectal surgery. The residents will be using this to enhance their skills in minimally invasive surgery.

Jessica, Kandace, and Dr. Agarwal

Congratulations to PGY2 Jessica Buicko on placing first in the clinical vignette category for her project "Hematemesis from a Left Gastric Artery Pseudoaneurysm Secondary to an Adjustable Laparoscopic Gastric Band." Her work, co-authored with attending Dr. Lopez-Viego and PGY3 Kandace Kichler was also recently published in the Journal of Current Surgery.

We are pleased to announce that the ACGME has approved the West Palm Beach VA Hospital as an integrated training site for our residents. This is yet another step in enhancing the education and training of our residents.
